Locally grown in Portland Oregon, Sheldoncole is a Vancouver-based folk duo comprised of Sheldon Kozushko and his younger brother Nic Kozushko. After playing in separate bands for years, the brothers decided to fuse their styles together to take advantage of their individual musically strengths. Through velvety vocals, Sheldon’s lyrics deal with life, death and love, drawing from experiences of darkness and pain, but also hope and joy. Nic compliments their sound with ambient electric guitar, melodic riffs, and harmonies.

In the summer of 2016, Sheldon lived in Detroit Michigan where he met a unique artist community that inspired and gave him a new vision for his pursuit in music. Through this community, he was able to record his debut EP Detroit. Thematically the EP traces two separate stories from Sheldon’s life that intertwined during his time in Detroit. Though the EP only features Nic on the last track, it acts as a segway from Sheldon’s days as a singer-songwriter into a new era of musical creation for the brothers.

Currently, they are planning a pan Canadian-American tour for the summer and working on a second EP that is more representative of their live performance.
