Update: TransLink says the earlier problem on the Canada Line has been fixed.
Though it had been out-of-service between Richmond and Vancouver for the past three-hours, a bus-bridge will continue running between Langara and Bridgeport stations.
Original story: There is a mechanical problem causing delays on the Canada Line.
There is no service between Langara-49th Station and Bridgeport. A bus-bridge is in place and you need to look for the signs right outside of each station.
TransLink Spokesperson Chris Bryan says the issue is between Marine Gateway and Bridgeport Stations because of a timed-out train at 11am that has caused problems ever since.
“Train service is still provided in Richmond between Brighouse and Bridgeport stations, as well as between YVR station and Bridgeport,” Bryan explains. “In Vancouver, between Waterfront and Oakridge Station. We’re working as hard as we can to get this resolved as soon as possible.”
Extra Transit Police are on-hand for crowd control.
The Expo and Millennium Lines are running normally.
