3. ZIMCARVINGS AT VANDUSEN BOTANICAL GARDEN: VanDusen Botanical Garden welcomes ZimCarvings back this summer from July 17th – September 30th. Patrick Sephani along with visiting artists will be showcasing works from over 30 Zimbabwean stone sculptors on the beautiful garden grounds and carving stone sculptures on site.

4. VANCOUVER MURAL FEST MOUNT PLEASANT STREET PARTY: VMF’s flagship event with 10 blocks in Mount Pleasant closed to traffic including Main St between E 12th & E 7th Ave. Close to 100,000 people are expected to visit the area to view all the completed murals and partake of the live art, music, markets and community activities.

12. LOST SOULS OF GASTOWN: Venture into Vancouver’s earliest and most gruesome history on the Lost Souls a Gastown. A time when Vancouver was the Granville Townsite – wild frontier town that suffered a devastating fire, smallpox outbreaks, and unsolved murders.

13. POWELL STREET FESTIVAL: The Powell Street Festival is the largest Japanese Canadian festival in the country and the longest running community arts celebration in Vancouver.
