A teenage Slovak hockey player has just signed on the dotted line to join the Vancouver Giants this coming season.

17 year-old Milos Roman was praised by Giants GM Glen Hanlon as a “skilled and entertaining player” from the Czech Republic in a news release.

His resume shows a goal and an assist in four games for Slovakia at the 2017 World Juniors, along with two points in five games at the 2017 Under-18 World Championships, and five points in four games at last year’s Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.

The centreman spent the 2016/17 season with HC Frydek-Mistek in the second tier of professional hockey in the Czech Republic and scored four goals and two assists in 29 regular season games.

Roman was drafted to the Giants with the sixth overall pick in the CHL Import Draft.
