So, what should happen in Vegas now that 59 people have been murdered by a crazed gunman?
How about hosting the world’s largest gun show just blocks away from the murder scene in January, 2018? We’re not kidding.
The world’s largest annual gun trade show will take place in Las Vegas next year despite the massacre.
An estimated 65,000 people will be attending the ‘SHOT Show’ in January at the Sands Expo, just around the corner from where Stephen Paddock sprayed bullets from a 32nd floor hotel room and slaughtered country music fans on Sunday night.
The Roundhouse Radio morning show reached out to the organizers to see if they were reconsidering. They’re not and they didn’t want to do an interview either.
They were nice enough to send producer Jack Fox the following e-mail. It’s posted above. Read it. It’s pretty standard stuff until you hit the address of the company putting on the show, the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
It’s Newtown, Connecticut.
And that was enough to take my breath away.
Newtown is the home of The Sandy Hook Elementary School Massacre which occurred on December 14, 2012, when 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children between six and seven years old, as well as six adult staff members.
Newtown, another massacre site is the home of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
Land of the free. Home of the gun.
