Time to Privatize Auto Insurance in BC?


It is no longer news that British Columbians are paying more for auto insurance than most of the other provinces in Canada. However, what might be interesting is why the government isn’t adopting the suggestions of privatizing auto insurance in the province and giving drivers the opportunity to shop for the best auto policy.

Charles Lammam, director or fiscal policies, Fraser Institute, discusses the recent report he authored on why the government should give private insurance companies the opportunity to compete in the auto insurance market.
