Dave and Judi are an entrepreneurial couple who established their business careers in the wholesale auto industry. Their company, 80125 Canada Inc., became one of the largest and most successful auto/truck dealerships in Western Canada. Highlights of their subsequent business investments include Scandia Golf & Games which they successfully operated for over 19 years, and the establishment of Wonderland Golf & Games in Spokane, Washington. Since 2002, they have grown their holdings through a mortgage portfolio, local mortgage investment corporations and the acquisition of various commercial rental properties, office buildings and retail strip malls.

The Pushor family has deep roots in the not-for-profit world and the business community in British Columbia. The family’s background in business is in both manufacturing, Chaparral Industries (86) Inc., and the legal industry, Pushor Mitchell LLP and Touchstone Law Group LLP. Rick Pushor, and his sons, Jim Pushor and John Pushor, purchased Chaparral Industries (86) Inc. in 2006. Based out of Kelowna, B.C., Chaparral Industries (86) Inc. manufactures custom modular buildings for residential, commercial, and industrial purposes. Chaparral Industries (86) Inc. has seen significant growth since the Pushors acquired the business. Rick Pushor was also a founding partner of Pushor Mitchell LLP which is now the largest law firm in B.C. outside of the lower mainland. Una Gabie is a founding partner of Touchstone Law Group LLP which is a boutique solicitor law firm in Kelowna, B.C. focusing on the areas of real estate, business law and estate planning/estate administration.

With deep roots in the community, the Pushor family is keenly aware of the importance of giving back to their community. Jim and his wife, Leslie Pushor, have supported Kelowna Minor Baseball, Dr. Knox Bald Falcons and fundraising efforts for the BC Children’s Hospital as well as the Canadian Cancer Society. John and his wife, Alison Kyte, are involved in the not-for-profit community through Alison’s role with the Canadian Mental Health Association. Over the years, Rick and his wife, Una, have been involved in various aspects of the community including Okanagan Rotary Clubs, the Central Okanagan Society for Community Living, The Central Okanagan Foundation, The Kelowna Bursary and Scholarship Society, Kelowna Curling Club, B.C. Minor Baseball Association, The B.C. Ski Racers Association, SPCA, Community Futures Development Corporation of Central Okanagan, the United Way, Canadian Cancer Society, Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and the Okanagan Suicide Awareness Society.

Craig & Candace Cameron

Craig Cameron, B.Sc., is CEO of National Hearing Services Inc., recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as a “Best Workplace” for 2010, 2011 and 2012. Craig has led many companies to incredible success over his 19-year career. He was the Co-Founder, President and CEO of Paragon Pharmacies Ltd., a representative for the Canadian Chain Drug Association and the B.C. Chain Drug Association, and a member of the retail advisory group for Drug Trading. Craig was also the founding President of the Rutland Business Association, a Director of the Ben Lee Park Fundraising Committee and Vice President – Training, for the Kelowna Jaycees. While with the Kelowna Jaycees, Craig also participated on the committee for fundraising events including the 24-Hour Relay and the Gentlemen’s Dinner, with proceeds benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters Kelowna. More recently in Victoria, Craig’s community involvement has included raising funds for the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association through Connect Hearing. Craig’s wife Candace is very active in their community and the past chair of the Kelowna Chapter of Osteoporosis Canada.

Don Shafer & Yvonne Evans

Don is a journeyman broadcaster who has sat in most chairs in radio and television stations across Canada. He has been on air, programmed dozens of radio stations and he has been integral in helping to build such well known stations as CHOM FM, CHUM FM, Q107, CFOX FM and ROCK 101 Vancouver. He has also held various senior management positions with Moffatt Communications, WIC, the Torstar Media Group, Standard Radio, Astral Media and Bell Media. Don is very active with community service and has served on various boards and committees of the Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Culinary Championships, Variety the Children’s Charity Vancouver, PFLAG Vancouver, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, B.C. Chiefs of Police Association as well as several industry associations.
